Diverse Drone Designs seen at 4th Annual Drone Public Safety Summit

Drone manufacturers are increasingly designing drones that specialize in particular applications in order to meet the needs of Government agencies and departments, which more and more often are seeking drone fleets with drones specializing in different functions and missions.  A diverse range of drone designs was evident in mid-August at the fourth annual UAS Public Safety Summit at Griffiss International Airport in upstate New York.  Firms exhibiting at the event included Ascent Aerosystems, BRINC, Inspired Flight, senseFLY, Skydio and many others.  Applications covered ran the gamut from search & rescue to all-weather flying to mapping indoor environments in disconnected environments.
