The robot asks people to present their ID and any relevant papers to the robot’s camera. People are allowed out to purchase necessities and for medical assistance. The UGVs are manufactured by Enova Robotics. PGuard carries a thermal imaging camera and LIDAR. The BBC report states that after one pedestrian said he was intending to buy cigarettes, the robot replied, "OK buy your tobacco, but be quick and go home."
