WiBotic Launches PowerPad Pro Wireless Charger & Data Transfer Solution

WiBotic specializes in advanced charging and power optimization solutions for aerial, mobile, space and industrial robots. The firm is launching the PowerPad Pro, a drone-agnostic autonomous charging platform with integrated wireless data offload & transfer capabilities.  The platform permits drones to automatically charge without physical connection points; wireless charging begins upon landing. Moreover, data, images, and video are transferred wirelessly, so remote operators can upload flight plans and monitor flights in real-time. The charging platform can be used as a stand-alone pad, or be integrated into an existing UAV storage facility (from drone hangars to trailers to truck beds). Applications include energy & utilities, construction, defense, and agriculture. A series of PowerPad Pros can be used for autonomous operations over long distances.

“PowerPad Pro enhances drone functionality for our partners working in environments where autonomous or semi-autonomous operations are a priority,” said Ben Waters, co-founder and CEO, WiBotic. “We designed it as a flexible solution for those who either already own and operate drones – and have their own infrastructure in place – or those who are looking for a more cost-effective option for fully autonomous operations. PowerPad Pro can be used as a stand-alone landing platform, or it can be integrated into any number of enclosures and form-factors such as trailers, sheds, or even truck beds.”  Watch a background video here. The Power Pad Pro will be shown at the AUVSI Denver Xponential show, May 8-11, booth 4937.
