NAVY Orders 15 Boeing Insitu ScanEagles for Afghan Military
ScanEagle flies on heavy liquid fuel such as gasoline, diesel, kerosine or Jet-A. It uses encrypted video data and command-and-control radio links. Recovery is by snagging a wingtip on a rope. Under the contract Insitu will do the work in Bingen, Wash., which reportedly will be completed by July 2021. For more information, please contact Boeing Insitu online at www.insitu.com, or the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at www.navair.navy.mil/nawcad.
